CINBIOS Forum for Industrial Biotechnology & Biobased Economy - 23.10.2012
On Tuesday, October 23, 2012 the third CINBIOS Forum for Industrial Biotechnology & Biobased Economy will take place in Lamot Mechelen.
CINBIOS, the cluster for industrial biotechnology, is a joint initiative of FlandersBio, Ghent Bio-Energy Valley and essenscia Flanders and is an essential link between companies from different industrial sectors, and between companies and knowledge in the field of biomass and industrial biotechnology and biocatalysis.
The CINBIOS Forum provides a broad overview of the many possibilities that industrial biotechnology and innovative biorefining processes provide for the production of bio-based products, materials and energy from renewable resources.
The exciting program includes:
- Plenary lectures by OVAM, OECD, ARD, and Cargill-Tereos Syral.
Two parallel sessions
- practical examples around the valorization of secondary flows and the development and application of biopolymers
(with company presentations by national and international players: Rodenburg Biopolymers, Kitozyme, Ecosynth, International Synergies Ltd, Van Gansewinkel, VION and Proviron).
- a session in which the financial challenges that businesses face today in the commercialization of bioproducts are central
(with presentations of Capricorn Venture Partners, Oleon and Green Biologics).
- a research session with an overview of the latest developments in the research field.
