E-Mobility : connect & drive - 01.03.2012

past

Organized by Leuven.Inc and Flanders Smart Hub. Powered by VUB Crosstalks.

Speed dating and introduction to the technology of Flemish Brabant.

E-mobility was onmipresent in Flanders last year. Pilot projects were launched and the first electric cars have now passed the experimental stage. But e-mobility is broader. Our mobility behavior, smart traffic dynamics and the communication between vehicles ensure that more ICT applications are implemented in mobility. In Flemish Brabant, in the heart of Europe, there is a lot of knowledge and skills that are also present and transformed in cash by various companies, organizations, and partnerships between government, research institutions and the industry. On March 1ste, the focus is put on what e-mobility can mean in the year 2012. A  theoretical framework is provided and two business cases are presented to illustrate the cooperation between companies and universities.

MEP Said El Khadraoui gives information about the European policies. Also 3 recently approved e-mobility projects are presented. During the event you get the chance to get acquainted with EV Jump, VAT-ET and  MSG500. These projects were selected from a call launched by the Province of Flemish Brabant,  VITO and Flanders Smart Hub. In addition, and not less important,  opportunity is given to meet numerous companies and organizations through real speeddates and an information market.

Throughout the speeddate session, opportunity is given to discuss traffic dynamics, mobility management, vehicle technology and connected mobility.
