ETT Bio Closing Conference: Save the date - 24.10.2014!
Learn from the best at the interface of science and business!
The efficient and effective transfer of new technologies is widely recognized as being a key component of efficient regional economic development. Although the social benefits of biotechnology are staggering, this sector has very specific characteristics, like high risk, long product development cycles and substantial financial investment needs. These characteristics have a significant impact on the technology transfer process, but the most important barrier to commercial success is often the lack of experience and deficiencies in existing policies and practice. In the past three years, the ETTBio consortium partners have addressed these issues by collecting and analyzing good practices in biotechnology transfer, exchanging know-how, adapting selected good practices to their regional contexts, and eventually by developing regional implementation plans for improving technology transfer. The results of that effort will be presented during a one-day workshop in Brussels on 24 October 2014. The ETTBio consortium partners invite everyone who has an interest in biotech transfer to attend this unique event.
