The technology based on the unique characteristics of the Camelid immune system was developed by VUB research group Molecular Imaging and UZ Brussel and resulted in a spin-off: Camel-IDS.
Jens De Vos, co-founder Camel-IDS, will pitch at Knowledge for Growth as well as Johan Devenyns of VUB spin-off PharmaFluidics and prof. Thierry VandenDriessche specialised in gene therapy. Dirk Reyn, CEO of eTheRNA, is chair of the breakout session TEST. Two more founders of VUB spin-offs -Bart Landuyt of Cellsine and Liesbeth Van Oeffelen of BiosenSource- pitch in the afternoon.
The 5 Flemish universities will not only showcase specific innovative technologies, but also other licensing opportunities in biotech.
