Each company has one or more "characters" by which it distinguishes itself on the market. E.g. your business name, your logo, the specific name for your product or service, your packaging, ... This insignia can be protected by registration as a trademark.
But which characters will be eligible for trademark protection and which not? Which procedure (s) are to be followed in order to obtain trademark protection? And how do you protect your brand ? Where can you consult trademarkdatabases ?
To respond to these and other questions invite the Agentschap Ondernemen and the Innovation Center West-Vlaanderen have invited Mr. Bruno Vanderschoot of the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP) from. The BOIP is the official instance for the registration of trademarks and designs in the Benelux.
During this information session will Protection @ Lunch, Bruno Vanderschoot will informe you about trademark protection in the Benelux by using concrete examples .
