Seminar Smart Drivetrains - 5 October 2015
Flanders Make, KULeuven and VUB invite you on Monday 5 October for a seminar on the huge potential of adaptive control for smart drivetrains of machines and vehicles.
Perpetual*, user-adaptive control methods and algorithms for smart
electromechanical drivetrains have been developed. These algorithms aim to
optimize the balance between delivered functionality and fuel economy based on
usage/task profiling and recognition.
Speakers will not only explain the project’s technical approach, but also the insights and solutions to practical challenges encountered during the research.
from Tenneco Automotive Europe and Dana Spicer Off-Highway will present a
general overview of the status of smart drive trains in vehicles and machines.
A live demonstration of task recognition will be presented on an industrial vehicle, namely a fork-lift truck.
The workshop will end with a discussion with representatives from both industrial companies and academic institutions.
