TTI information sessions on innovation and valorization of research - June 6, 2014
In these times of information overload, and despite the fact that "everything can be found on the Internet", we find that people still appreciate receiving structured concrete information and the opportunity to ask questions about specific issues. For new employees, these sessions have been proven useful for a quicker understanding of these complex matters.
As from 6 June, Technology Transfer Interface is planning a series of info sessions, every 1 to 2 months, in which an aspect of the valorization policy is highlighted. The topics will be determined following the needs of researchers, with focus on knowledge and technology transfer/commercialization of research. During the second part of the session, we invite research groups to present their research colleagues.
The session takes place at noon at the Green Meeting room at the U-residence:
- Approximately 1 hour for a presentation by a colleague from TTI or an external person + discussion with the group
- Approximately 30 minutes for a valorization coach/business developer/investigator of a research department to present the activities or valorisation process
We end exactly at 14h, or earlier if there is no research presentation that month .
For the first session on June 6, 2014, Professor Jan Cornelis, Vice Rector International Relations VUB is invited. He will give a presentation on international opportunities of research and valorisation of research. If interested in international partnerships, this is the place to be!
