A new Brussels city and university district

Under the joint project of VUB and ULB called Usquare.brussels, the abandoned gendarmerie quarters at the Generaal Jacqueslaan and the Kroonlaan will be transformed into a new, lively district with room for both university services and housing for families and students. The ambition of the project is to bring people, city and knowledge together. An innovative inter-university cluster for sustainable development research, knowledge dissemination, entrepreneurship and innovation will be established. This cluster will consist of a joint ULB-VUB incubator, a specific structure for hosting and coaching young student entrepreneurs and a joint ULB-VUB FabLab.
