UZ Brussel uses immunotherapy to tackle aggressive brain tumor

For the first time worldwide, UZ Brussel injected immunotherapy locally in the brains of patients who suffer from glioblastoma. Never before had a treatment in a clinical study shown that the survival of patients with recurrent glioblastoma can be prolonged. Today, the first research results by professor Bart Neyns's team show that the therapy can prolong survival.
