Knowledge transfer in general is the translation of knowledge and discoveries to the general public.

At a university or a university college, knowledge transfer typically occurs through publications, science communication events, educated students finding a job, exchanges at conferences, and so on.

The stories you find here, however, focus on some key aspects in the valorization process of research results.

Valorization can be done through partnerships with industry and/or society, different kinds of research collaborations, licensing, the creation of spin-off companies and consulting services. At the Universitaire Associatie Brussel (UAB), these aspects are managed and coordinated by the TTI, part of the R&D department.
