Parkwind selected 24SEA, a VUB spin-off, for the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of the structural health monitoring systems on the WTG support structures at Parkwind's Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm.
The Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm will have a capacity of 257MW. Located in the Baltic Sea, in the coastal waters of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the wind farm will be supplying green energy to approximately 300.000 German households.
The Vestas V174-9.5MW wind turbines on the Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm will support on the largest monopiles ever installed in Europe.
The monopile monitoring equipment will be installed by 24SEA at the fabrication site of Steelwind in Germany. On the TP-less design the tower will be connected directly to the monopile. 24SEA will thus complete the installation and commissioning of the structural health monitoring setup offshore.
