NUMECA joins Cadence, leader in Intelligent System Design
Cadence Design Systems, Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire NUMECA International, VUB spin-off and leader in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), mesh generation, multi-physics simulation and optimization. Its technology and tools are used by customers such as NASA, ArianeGroup, Honda and Ford. The company was founded in 1992 by Prof. Dr. Charles Hirsch, who is still President at NUMECA.
The addition of NUMECA’s technologies and talent supports the Cadence® Intelligent System Design™ strategy and broadens its system analysis portfolio with CFD solutions for the aerospace, automotive, industrial and marine industries.
