Programming language DISCOPAR gives boost to citizen science

Under the guidance of Prof. Wolfgang De Meuter of the Software Languages Lab at the VUB, dr. Jesse Zaman developed a new visual programming language with DISCOPAR that enables citizens to easily create an app for their own citizen science project on a user-friendly website.

DISCOPAR (Distributed Components for Participatory Campaigning) is a simple, visual language that not only allows an app to collect data, data processing and results can now also be set up.
